We are back in Greeneville Tennessee, visiting family enroute to our final destination of Oregon by mid-April. We have played Graysburg Hills GC a number of times, but not this early in the spring. They have 3 sets of nine holes, with Knobs and Fodderstack being the most played, with the 3rd being Chimney Top. We were able to get an early tee time today and played 2 of the 3 courses, Knobs and Fodderstack Nine. The course was in pretty good shape overall today. The greens were running smooth and about 10 on the stimpmeter. The fairway grass was still dormant, so they looked yellow, which makes it hard to see your  ball. We found ourselves driving past them often and returning to play our next shot. The range was open, but they haven’t reseeded them in a while so it is a little hard to find a place to hit where there is not a lot of divots.

When checking in, you will more than likely meet the owner of the course, but you also could be welcomed by someone from the area, who is probably retired and loves to golf. The club house has a little snack bar giving you your choice of food and drink. Overall, the golf shop may be a little old, but it is very quaint and welcoming, with a fair amount of product to purchase.

Play well and most of all, Have Fun!!
